Beaver Colony

Welcome to the online home of St. Columba's Beaver Scouts Ballymena!

The Beavers are the youngest section of the scouting family in mainland UK, created first in Northern Ireland. Now, Beavers are the second section after Squirrels in NI and consist of youngsters aged 6 to 8 years old. Enjoying a wide variety of games, activities and sleep-overs too, Beavers eventually 'swim-up' to Cubs.

Lise McCullough with the assistance of 'young leaders' and occasional helpers, provides an action-packed programme with lots of crafts and, when weather allows, activities outdoors. The programme is designed so that any Beaver who participates enthusiastically will be rewarded with the Chief Scouts Bronze Award.

Newcomers are always most welcome! For more information, please contact the leaders either directly, using the Contact Us page, or by email: info@stcolumbasscouts.co.uk.
